Vinja was originally sold to Sanne and Jesper, but due to them getting a divorce, and none of them being able to bring any of their cats with them into their new homes, Vinja was returned to me, together with Sarabi, which I am VERY happy about!
Vinja has been on shows a number of times since I got her home and fortunately it went very well. Especially when you consider that she hasn't been shown since she was 6 months old!
She has given birth to 3 wonderfull litter of kittens in our cattery and the plan is to have her neutered at some point in 2008. We are considering showing Vinja in the future as a neuter.

As part of the HCM project at KVL all of our cats was called to come and give bloodsamples and be scaned for HCM. Vinja was one of the cats we entered the project, where she will be scaned according to the "normal" procedures we follow, as recommended by Pawpeds, and she will also be scanned/examined when ever the researchers wants to. They have chosen to use Vinja as one of the guidelines for what a normal cats heart should look like.

The researchers has asked us if we will come with Vinja in January 2099 and have her scanned, not because there's something wrong, she has a healthy looking heart, but becasue they want to follow some "older" cats and see what happens to their hearts as they get older. Of course we have agreed to let them see her again. They also want to see Vinja back in a year and scan her again.

Because it was hard to find a day that suited us all, it wasn't
until February we could bring Vinja and the other cats the researchers
had asked to see. It went very well and Vinja has a very healthy and
welfunctioning
heart and THAT is always nice to know:-)
