Louise, Cheriê and Jakob were the happy new owners of Vianna and Vianna was meant to be the foundation cat in Louise`s catteryt. Vianna had 2 litters in Louises prefix, before Louise desided to stop breeding and Vianna was neutered. We were offered to take Vianna home to us again, because her owner wasn't able to care for her any more. We were so thrilled that we got this chance to take her back and she'll be staying with us for the rest of her life. Once Vianna has settled in we will probably try to show her once or twice.

We thought that Vianna had been neutered while she was still living with Louise, because Louise had put Vianna under her neutered cats on her homepage. We didn't ask when we got Vianna back if she indeed WAS neutered and Louise didn't mentioned to us, that Vianna was still a fertile cat! Thereforo we were very surpriced when we saw Leo biting her in her neck, while climbing on to her! Before we were able to react he had bred her! Vianna was scanned for HCM and was HCM Normal. On one hand we were very thrilled with the fact, that Vianna could continue in our breeding program, but on the other hand we were a bit sad by the fact, that she re-started her breeding career in this some what awkward way.

Vianna has had 2 litters in our cattery and will be neutered in 2008. We might try to show her as a neuter in the future.

The researchers has asked us if we will come with Vianna in January 2099 and have her scanned, not because there's something wrong, she has a healthy looking heart, but becasue they want to follow some "older" cats and see what happens to their hearts as they get older. Of course we have agreed to let them see her again. They also want to see Vianna back in a year and scan her again.

Because it was hard to find a day that suited us all, it wasn't until February we could bring Vianna and the other cats the researchers had asked to see. It went very well and Vianna has a very healthy and welfunctioning heart and THAT is always nice to know:-)
