Tripoli has moved home to Tina who also have Tabasco, Aristocat, Camaro, Qualibou, Eavan and Cunning from us:-) Tripoli is a Hostcat and will be a part of our future breeding program. Tina has made a homepage for her beautifull cats.

After 14 days of being sick Tripoli was euthanized on May 31st. 2007. The veterinarian took lots of tests and when she finally told us that she couldn't do any more for Tripoli and she still had no clue as to what was wrong with her, but thought that she "might" have FIP, due to the increased titer number, we had her committed at the Royal Vetrinarian Hospital in Copenhagen. The hospital is also the Veterinarian School with the best professors affiliated.

They found out that Tripoli had developed "Large Granular Lymphoma", which is the non-contageuos form of leuchemia in cats. Why some cats develop it the scientists still don't know. What they do know is that it can't be cured. Together with Tina we decided that Tripoli should be put to sleep.

We chose to have a post morten performed and it showed that Tripoli apart from the leuchemia also suffered from Sarcom Lymphoma. When a cat has Sarcom Lymphoma it's because the cat was born with it and cats that has that type of cancer unfortunately don't live a long life, because there is cancer present in every corner of the cats body and it therefor grows from the day the kitten is born. This is also the reason why she developed Large Granular Lymphoma. There were NO signs of FIP in Tripoli so it was the cancer that made the titer number so high when she was tested. Unfortunately a lot of vets still think that if a cat has a high titer then the cat is suffering from FIP and must be put down.

Tripoli was always a very happy and loving cat and the emptiness she leaves behind her can't be described:-(
