forward to see them both at shows in the future:-) After being sick for a long time Milky was euthanized on February 16th 2010:-( We have been informed what was wrong with Milky and anyone interested in knowing are welcome to contact her owner. |
| Red Blotched Tabby (NFO d 22) Male DK Marabou Gyldenløve:
10.12.05 |
Marabou moved into his new home
with Djara,
Kasper and Jeanette, even though he was very small when he was 12 weeks
old.
Marabou wouldn't gain any weight at all, no matter what food he was given. He would eat a lot every day, but he wouldn't gain any weight. We then chose to take him home again, an agreement we had already made with his new owners before he moved into their home. As a replacement for Marabou we gave them Listige Sjæl who is now living with Djara and his humans. After Marabou had moved back with us, he was examined numerous times of a certified cat veterinarian. The examinations didn't go very well, mainly because the vet couldn't draw blood, not even when Marabou was put on a mild sedative. When Marabou started to show signs of having a hard time living, in addition to only weighing barely 1 kg at 4 months of age, we and the vet chose to let him go. An autopsy was made by pathologists, an autopsy that didn't really give us any answers to why Marabou wouldn't gain any weight. The pathologists concluded that Marabou "proberbly" had suffered from a food-intolerance, meaning that he couldn't produce energy or gain weight to build up muscles, bones or anything and therefor he would never had become bigger than he was at the time he was put to sleep:-( We had had that thought ourselves, so we had tried to feed him different brands of food, without any change is his situtation. It was important for us to get a diagnoses, even though we didn't get a conclusive diagnoses. |
