Ferris has been livng with us since January 2005 and so far it has been a thrill to have him with us. Even though his favorite person when he first moved in was Carli and he wasn't particularly fond of Allan or guests in our home, he's slowly getting better and better to accept both Allan and the guests:-) He's very sweet and is getting along great with all our cats and dogs.

We have a lot of plans for Ferris:-) We would like to show him and also use him in our breeding-program. Unfortunately he sheded a lot right after we had moved, proberbly due to the stess, so we won't show him until fall 2005, where we also will have his color evaluated, because we don't think that he has silver in him at all.

Ferris went to his first show ever on August 7th 2005. He took it very well and his color was also judged, because from the first day I saw him, I felt that he wasn't a silver cat. And he isn't. His distribution of white is also more than the ems code 09, so he will now be registered as a bicolour (03). This color code wasn't mandatory last year when he was born, but it is from January 1st 2005, so we might as well change that along with his departing silver:-)

Ferris was tested in October 2005 for all that he needed to be tested for and the result is, that he can now be a part of our breeding program. We will bred him to some of our females and are looking forward to the litters with great expectations.

As part of the HCM project at KVL all of our cats was called to come and give bloodsamples and be scaned for HCM. Ferris was one of the cats we entered the project, where he will be scaned according to the "normal" procedures we follow, as recommended by Pawpeds, and he will also be scanned/examined when ever the researchers wants to. They have chosen to use Ferris as one of the guidelines for what a normal cats heart should look like.
