When Kalabreeze's kittens were born she unfortunately didn't have any milk for them but Wyoming had a lot of milk even though her own kittens were 2 weeks old so we chose to switch Kalabreeze's kittens over to Wyoming because it's considerably much easier to supplement kittens that are 2 weeks old than newborns. We are very greatful for the fact that Wyoming had so much milk and energy that she would take over the care of 6 newborns in exchange of her own 2 week old kittens:-)

Unfortunately we have lost 2 of the kittens:-( proberbly because they didn't get enough antibodies from the colostrums when they were newborn. There is a 24 - 48 hours open "window" were the kittens intestines will allow antibodies that are present in the mothers milk to pass into the kittens body and be part of the immune system and since the kittens didn't get much milk the first 1½ day of their life, 2 of them didn't get enough antibodies and died:-( We are however greatful for the fact that we still have 4 of the kittens with us!

These 2 didn't make it after all:-(
