It may also be the last kitten from valuable breeding cats, that are retiring from the breeding, but due to the genes in the other cats in the cattery, it will be easier for me that the cat is living somewhere els.
It also means that although there is more than one owner, the cat, of course, only lives with one of them during its entire life. Normally my Hostcat is a female.
In most cases, a Hostcat is free, which basically means that you are given the cat for free and only have to take care of the dayly things the cat needs, like food, litter, vet visits, etc. Some Hostcats live with families who wanted a female, that will have kittens from time to time, but can´t manage to be left with the kittens that aren´t sold. Those kittens will of course come to my home until they are sold. Since I have only had one litter in that *category*, it hasn`t been the case, yet.
Other Hostcats live in another cattery. All expenses that are in connection to the litter that are owned by me, is also paid for by me. All the expenses, in connection with the litters the female has, in the other breeders prefix, is paid for by the breeder the cat live with.
At the moment we have 1 Hostcat, Eavan.
